Dry needling is a technique used by physical therapist for treatment of pain and movement impairments. According to the research conducted by Witt et al (2006), Dry needling has been shown to be effective in reducing pain, improving movement, and optimizing recovery time. When compared to steroid injections over a 13 month time span, Dry needling was shown to be more cost effective option.
